Where we ship
Right now we ship to 14 states and the District of Columbia: Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington DC and West Virginia.
That isn't arbitrary. We ship frozen out of Polkton, North Carolina, and this is the area we can reach in two days by ground. Past that we can't promise your box still arrives frozen, so we'd rather not take your money. If you're outside it, join the list and we'll tell you when we can reach you.
What shipping costs
- Every bundle ships free.
- Orders of $149 or more: free
- Orders from $75 to $148.99: $19.95
- Orders under $75: $24.95
Frozen freight is expensive and we would rather show you the number than bury it in the price of the meat. The box, the insulated liner and the ice go out whether you order one pack or ten, which is why a small order carries more of that cost.
When your order ships
We ship Monday and Tuesday only, so a box is never sitting in a facility over a weekend. Orders placed Wednesday through Sunday go out the following Monday. You'll get tracking by email when the label is made.
Transit is two days within our shipping area.
How it's packed
Everything is vacuum-sealed and frozen solid before it's packed. Boxes go out with an insulated liner and ice, sized to the weight of the order.
What we need from you
Bring the box inside the day it arrives. The packing is built to hold well past the delivery window, but it isn't a freezer, and we can't be responsible for a box that sits outside overnight or over a weekend.
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. We can't reroute a frozen shipment once it's moving, and a box returned to us as undeliverable can't be resold.
If something goes wrong
It arrives frozen, or we replace it. If your box shows up thawed, damaged or wrong, tell us within 7 days at Contact@thesaltymarefarm.com or 919-606-9077 and we'll make it right. A photo helps but isn't required.
